Junior Instructional Designer
Location: Remote, must be in Michigan
Pay Rate: ~$36/hour, DOE
Duration: Ongoing contract
The Planet Group is looking for a
Junior Instructional Designerto join their client on an ongoing contract. Although the role is remote on a day to day basis, there will be quarterly onsite team meetings as well as onsite meetings with business partners (twice a month max).
Junior Instructional Designer Responsibilities
- Design and develop learning experiences in a variety of forms, including interactive eLearn, large-scale training solutions, and blended multi-media instructor-led presentations
- Determine learning objectives, rewrite content, structure learning activities, and create visual aids for both face-to-face and online interactions
- Work closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the various business units to ensure that all content is responsive to training best practices but also meets all regulatory and legal requirements.
- Program interactive asynchronous eLearn experiences, as well as develop synchronous in person scenario-based experiences resulting in high levels of engagement and retention.
- Translate complex, multi-step processes into easy to understand, digestible training.
- Manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and/or adapting to evolving business needs.
- Develop storyboards, scheduling production activity, conducting research and assuring an overall production schedule is maintained.
Junior Instructional Designer Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years experience in Instructional Design, eLearn development, or related field.
- Experience in designing and developing learning.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating attention to detail, an effective implementation of principles of design and adult learning pedagogy, with professionally appealing visuals and layout.
- eLearn authoring tools - Articulate Storyline (preferred) or Adobe Captivate
- MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel
- Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator and Photoshop
