Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Technician for a 3-month contract in Norwich, NY 13815.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years of related desktop and/or deskside support experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products - including software, hardware and network troubleshooting skills, PC imaging and deployment and IMAC experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in an enterprise environment.
- A+ Certification is a plus
- Positive Attitude to deliver great customer experiences and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction.
- Demonstrating high energy is desired given a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing PC/laptop hardware internal components (motherboard, hard drives, RAM, CPU), and understanding of troubleshooting PC software (Windows blue-screen, Outlook, connecting network printers) as well.
- Working experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies (Office 365, Win10 Professional, imaging, and ticketing systems. Having experience supporting applications related to engineering, manufacturing, and logistics is a plus

- Ability to work with strong personalities. Managing stress while being able to de-escalate tense users is a key attribute.
- Independently, and for attendance for availability to work scheduled hours. Trusted to work proactively is a key attribute given limited site IT Leadership.
What You Will Be Doing
- Repair, test, image, and clean PC’s, laptops, monitors, printers, and other related hardware.
- Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals. Ability to setup, configure, and add all hardware.
- Experience with asset management. Install, move, add, and change. Large IMAC events expected for client printer migration and PC refreshes.
- Assure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention.
- Comfortable with face-to-face interactions as will be required to provide technical support to end users in person at the customer’s site.
- Back up and burn end-user data.
- Assist in developing and documenting improvements to current processes. Assist other coworkers in the resolution of end users’ technical issues across the program.
- Assist Site Leader in the execution of established processes and escalations.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Be physically able to lift up to 40lbs, bend, crawl, and lay in order to support customer computer systems.
- Be able to be on feet and physically walk potentially a good portion of the day while visiting customers work area.
