Contract Duration: 6+ Months, with extensions and possible conversions
Required Skills & Experience - 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
- Spark, Python, Scala and Advanced database skills
- Looking for a head down developer with the following skill set:
- Big Data Hadoop, Hive, Java, Python and Spark experience
- Data analysis expertise
- Advanced SQL, Unix Shell scripting and Autosys
- Agile, JIRA
Desired Skills & Experience - Investment Banking experience
What You Will Be Doing - Will work on a data acquisition projects for standing up 2 new applications as well as doing a strategic implementation for the next few years for a legacy application.
- Will build Big Data models using Spark, Scala, and Python.
- Will be doing analysis as well as writing code.
- Will be a primarily heads down engineer with production support as needed.
- Will participate in a daily stand-up call, Jiras will be assigned.
- Needs to be capable of speaking up in the calls and providing risk updates.
