The Opportunity
The Application Data Services department provides world-class database and streaming solutions-both on-premise and in the public cloud-to infrastructure and product development teams. They ensure secure, reliable, and scalable transport and storage of data for business and infrastructure services.
Their data services currently cover technologies like MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, Confluent, and Elasticsearch, with plans to expand into complementary cloud database technologies.

Role Description: Technical Product Manager - NoSQL
As a Technical Product Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for the NoSQL product offering. This includes overseeing on-premise services such as Cassandra, shaping the future of cloud offerings (e.g., DynamoDB), and expanding the portfolio to include services like MemoryDB, Vector Databases, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Define and champion the product roadmap and backlog for the core NoSQL portfolio, aligning with broader cloud, data, security, and compliance strategies
Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions
Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices
Partner with product teams across the organization to support cloud adoption and data modernization, ensuring that data solutions meet their needs
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the products and drive continuous improvement
Communicate technical concepts and project status effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as a Technical Product Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on data-related products or infrastructure
Solid understanding of NoSQL data technologies
Experience with large-scale data platforms and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with specific NoSQL platforms such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra
