We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support our automotive client in Leicestershire. Embedded within the Electrical & Electronic Systems department, this role is critical to the specification and delivery of innovative features.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining system solution specifications, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the traceability and quality of system-level deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Support the creation, update, and maintenance of system solution specification documents using PREEvision.
Assist in defining CAN and LIN communication structures and support fault handling/diagnostics strategy.
Independently review issues raised by component owners or validation teams and propose viable resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues with minimal impact on programme cost and schedule.
Ensure that deliverables are reviewed by appropriate stakeholders before release.
Follow defined MBSE team processes and manage tasks accordingly.

Who We Are Looking For:

BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or a relevant discipline (HND with relevant experience will also be considered).
Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
Knowledge of UML / SYSML modelling and requirements management techniques.
Proficient in using tools for writing and managing natural language requirements.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:

Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN / LIN).
Experience in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
Experience using PREEvision or similar architecture/requirements tools.
Understanding of logical system architecture design.

Skills

Professional in presentation and conduct.
Flexible with working hours and open to occasional UK and overseas travel.

Education

BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or equivalent.
HND in a relevant subject and relevant experience.
