Process Analyst - Collections (SAP)

For one of our global tech clients we are currenctly looking for a Process Analyst - Collections to preferably start as soon as possible. We look for someone who has experience working with SAP (S/4), Excel and preferably also Hadoop and SQL.

Salary: €3500 - €4000 gross per month (ex holiday allowance)

Job Summary
The Process Analyst Collections is responsible for managing global bad debt provisions (write-off processes) and overseeing external collection agency relationships. This role involves identifying, analyzing, and interpreting data trends, building reports, and visualizing insights to support decisions and reduce financial risk.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and improve legal collections processes to mitigate risk and reduce bad debt.
Analyze data trends and patterns to provide actionable insights.
Build reports and visualizations (e.g., payments reports).
Maintain accounts receivable aging and facilitate monthly bad debt write-offs.
Handle operational bankruptcy procedures, including documentation and debt write-offs.
Forecast and analyze commission payouts for collection agencies.
Raise purchase orders and ensure timely invoice payments in collaboration with procurement.
Negotiate commission terms and invoicing models with external collection agencies.
Perform monthly and quarterly business and SOX controls.
Lead or advise on ad hoc projects.
Research, contract, onboard, and manage external collection agencies.
Evaluate agency performance and develop strategies to improve recovery rates.
Implement scalable and locally relevant process improvements.
Communicate effectively across departments and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in Credit Control, Credit Risk, or working with Collection Agencies.
Strong analytical and reporting skills (e.g., payments reports).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
Strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to implement process improvements.
Familiarity with finance systems and databases (SAP, SQL, Hadoop, PO tooling).
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
Detail-oriented, stress-resistant, and deadline-driven.
