Our client, a leading independent investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Performance Analyst for a 6+ month contract in Houston, TX. This role is hybrid with three days per week onsite.
The Performance Analyst Consultant will play an important role in assisting the Performance Measurement and Analytics function execute the overall strategy of efficiently and effectively delivering performance and analytics related analysis and information across global teams and products. The position will play a key role participating in automation initiatives, building new capabilities, actively participating in team discussions, and coordinating across departments to effectively deliver on team objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Lead and/or active participation in various performance and analytics projects designed to improve efficiencies and processes.
- Assisting in the reporting and analysis of portfolio and benchmark performance and characteristics.
- The creation, interpretation, and analysis of fixed income performance measurement and attribution results for global products.
- Will need to be able to assess the importance of any given request or problem, manage the flow of information surrounding the item, and ensure proper resolution.
Work Experience / Knowledge
- Knowledge of Performance, Attribution, or Investment Risk is preferred
- Experience in code and test programming using Python, R, VBA, SQL or equivalent is preferred
- Sound knowledge of project management tools is preferred
- Prior experience in Operations, Accounting, or Finance in the securities/investment industry is preferred
- Experience in working with IT teams to implement business process improvements is preferred
- Strong understanding of equity and fixed income instruments is highly desirable

Formal Education
- Undergraduate degree in a mathematics, finance, economics, or related field
Pay Rate- $38.07- $40.07
