Pay Rate: Up to $52/hour (DOE)

The Planet Group'sFortune-500 Financial Services client has a HOT need for a Copywriter with 7 years’ in-house agency or corporate marketing experience with writing brand narrative with original copy, eye-catching slogans, support for multimedia advertising campaigns for a REMOTE, 8 Month contract assignment starting in May 2025!

The idealCopywriterwill have experience within the financial services industry, knowledge of SEO/keyword search best practices to increase online visibility, and a portfolio/samples with less-corporate work demonstrating the ability to convey a narrative and hold an audience’s interests, such as fiction writing, short films, animations, graphics, and the like.

Copywriter Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts, teams, and stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, as well as external contractors and vendors to create, update, or improve marketing-focused copy promoting products and services
Be a custodian of the brand voice and contribute to its evolution across all media
Work with designers to ensure layouts, designs, images, and other visuals align with the brand while enhancing content and making it easier to access
Create, enrich, and update content for the website
Interview members of the more than 12,000 financial professionals supports to create peer-to-peer success stories, explore how they are benefiting from our services, and collaborate on new marketing materials
Review trade publications, articles, and research to synthesize new ideas and create original thought leadership content
Brainstorm language, designs, and communication strategies with internal teams and stakeholders
Monitor competitor communications and publications to help ensure remains differentiated within the financial services space
Take initiative and manage working on several projects concurrently, juggling multiple and sometimes tight deadlines, and keeping stakeholders and reviewers informed of progress
Be willing to collaborate, ask questions, share perspective, and incorporate feedback to strengthen the quality and value of your successive drafts, and help others improve theirs

Copywriter Qualifications:

Punctilious writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for clarity and consistency
Ability to manage multiple, often complex projects and deadlines concurrently
Facility with both long-form content (white papers, brochures, articles) and short-form pieces (web banners, headlines, social media posts)
Ability to find the “big idea” within every communication, and communicate in a way your reader or viewer can, too
Desire to work within a collaborative environment
Ability to juggle unwavering respect for the input and ideas of others with an unwavering commitment to upholding the standards of the Cetera brand
Ease and comfort working across all strata of the organization, including senior leadership
Facility writing across the full spectrum of voices from marketing to corporate, and an understanding of when to use each
Proficiency within the Microsoft Office suite of products

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, creative writing, psychology, or similar field or equivalent
