The Planet Group's Fortune500 Mortgage client has a HOT need for a
Project Manager aminimum five years project management experience within the mortgage space for a REMOTE, 6 month assignment starting in July 2025!
The
Project Manager plays an important role with primary responsibilities providing support for special projects that require routine follow up such as technology implementations, training and development programs, acquisitions, impactful procedural changes and audits. The role is responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects in accordance with predetermined timelines.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Work with leadership and project stakeholders to define the project-specific parameters such as strategy, goals, timelines, project communication, escalation plan, types of reports needed, and cadence for meetings, summary including due dates, completion dates and action plans distributed to meeting participants.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and primary of contact to operations leadership and perform various operations related tasks during acquisitions and partner with other functions including procedure analysis, change management and analyzing lessons learned.
- Implement projects including, SharePoint analysis, maintenance/re-design, leadership training & development planning, project support with the client's course updates, and process improvement as directed by Director of Operations Training & Development.
- Draft project plan(s), determine project scope, gather requirements, and manage all phases of the project.
- Track project milestones, budgets, and performance, and analyze successful completion.
- Anticipate, organize, prioritize, and coordinate administrative responsibilities.
- Contact various personnel to obtain or provide requested information, take initiative to follow-through on pending matters, question information, suggest alternative approaches, and follow through.
- Research, compile, track, and summarize data for preparation of various reports, charts, graphic slides, and budgets; resolve discrepancies and inform manager of action taken.
- Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans with some supervision.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts throughout the project life cycle.
- Independently prepare project-specific reports on progress and problems; perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Work with Senior Leadership, to formulate solutions in relation to resetting goals and expectations.
- Work in partnership with IT Project Manager(s) on projects with technology development, focusing on overall project implementation, business requirements, communication, training and change management while IT PM focuses on technology implementation and budget.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external relationships with stakeholders to help facilitate communication and drive initiatives.
- Request stakeholder updates on the status of their deliverables and ensure that they remain on schedule.
- Assist in the coordination of the rollout of projects, including communication, adoption strategy, training materials, workflow diagrams, and post-launch support resources.
- Correlate projects to department and company initiatives, providing progress reporting on overall initiative achievement.
- Evaluate, analyze, and compare project objectives to results; assess project outcomes/lessons learned and document and disseminate the results for future projects.
- Identify and make recommendations for improvement to existing processes and procedures.
- Create SharePoint websites related to projects and collaborate on existing sites for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned (i.e., department audits or other similar assignments).
Project Manager Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.
Additional Qualifications
- Merger and acquisition experience required.
- Ability manage change effectively.
- Project management experience and change management expertise required.
- Budget and forecasting experience a strong plus.
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Teams and ClickUp required.
- Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
Education:Bachelors Degree directly related to the position or equivalent.
