Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Location: Salinas, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Pay Range: $25-$27/Hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team in Salinas, CA. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, and software across the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring prompt response to support tickets, resolving technical issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-level technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other technology tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory or other user management systems.
- Set up new employee workstations, including hardware/software deployment and network connectivity.
- Assist in managing local servers, backups, and network infrastructure.
- Document technical procedures, user guides, and solutions in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with other IT staff to implement system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and data security best practices.
- Support video conferencing and remote access technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or help desk role.
- Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira).
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications.

Work Environment:
