Job Title: Service Designer
Location: Telford (2 days on-site per week)
Duration: 6 Months
Engagement: Umbrella Only

Overview:
We are seeking a Service Designer to join a Government programme, a major cross-government initiative aimed at simplifying and securing access to public services. This role is ideal for an experienced service designer with strong collaboration, communication, and design thinking skills who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the One Login programme on supporting the overall Design changes needed within the many phases of One Login work that we have to deliver over the next few years.
Helping shaping delivery for the team, working closely with UX & Build teams, improving the teams ways of working and providing output to feed into the stakeholder updates / reports.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in service design within large-scale digital transformation programmes.
Ability to design and communicate service design outputs, such as user journeys, service blueprints, and personas.
Strong facilitation and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complexity while maintaining a user-centred approach.
Experience working in agile environments and contributing to iterative delivery cycles.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable:

Experience working on public sector or government digital services programmes.
Familiarity with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards and principles.
Understanding of identity and access management services or similar secure user systems.
