About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Pension Analyst, Merged Plans, to be the front-line pension administrator responsible for providing employers with technical support and guidance to facilitate the administration of the CAAT Pension Plan. The Merged Plans team works with Third Party Administrators who perform administrative duties and interact with CAAT for review, sign offs, questions and ensuring same standards are maintained.
This role is responsible for performing annual data management, member statement activities and contribution reconciliation processing.The Senior Pension Analyst acts as a role model and mentor to Merged Plans team members, supports training new staff, and is a contact within the team to assist with complex questions, escalated or high-profile cases.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:
- Process and complete data management and statement activities to deliver pension administration services in accordance with established service standards, processes, and procedures.
- Perform activities relating to annual member statements and contribution reconciliation processes, including testing of annual statement results from third parties and updates of templates as required.
- Provide day-to-day support to Employer administrators, responding to questions and providing technical support where required; liaise with internal staff to be able to provide responses in a timely basis.
- Conduct monthly status meetings with each assigned Employer, tracking and resolving issues to achieve high level of client satisfaction with Plan services.
- Support Pension Analysts with escalated queries from Employers.
- Become expert in plan provisions of assigned employers, facilitate onboarding of new merger assigned employers as well and participate in activities related to asset transfer.
- Investigate issues involving Team Lead, Manager, Policy, and Senior Management, as required, and escalates issues as appropriate with management.
- Plan and participate in employer training for individual employers and group sessions comprising the Employer Education program.
- Participate in Member presentations as a supporting Pension Analysts for member discussions and conducting virtual Employers sessions.
To Succeed, You Bring:
- A College Diploma or University Degree, as well as one of the following designations: CEBS, PPAC, or CBP
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in MEPP or public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider; understanding of pension administration systems and working with pension plan texts.
- Strong analytical skills, as well as attention to detail, and mathematical aptitude
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and data analysis techniques.
