Job Title: Medical Cash Poster
Location: Louisville, KY 40241 (100% remote after 30 days of onsite training)
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8-hour shift Flexible start time (6:00 AM - 9:00 AM)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Medical Cash Poster to join a high-performing medical billing team in the Louisville area. This full-time position offers a great opportunity to transition into a permanent role within a stable and mission-driven healthcare organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manually post insurance and patient payments across multiple behavioral health hospital accounts
- Review EOBs to verify accuracy of posted payments
- Reconcile cash receipts and balance end-of-day reports
- Handle patient payments and lockbox deposits
- Work with Excel-based spreadsheets for daily cash posting
- Communicate with billing teams and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate posting
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of medical cash posting experience
- Proficient in reading and interpreting EOBs and remittance advices
- Excel proficiency is required (intermediate level)
- Experience with lockbox processing
- Familiarity with systems like Meditech, Waystar, or Assurance is a plus
- Experience with both professional and facility billing preferred
- Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player
