We are seeking an Fiber Field Technician to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to: Leading small teams or an individual contributor on small moderately complex installation projects. Conducting and documenting daily safety discussions Installing all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages. Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems. Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level. Providing on-site software commissioning and testing. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE SECRET Clearance is REQUIRED Education/Experience: Requires a Valid driver's license This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy. Education: HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities Required Progressive Experience: 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems Experience must be focused on electronic security systems Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills. Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus. This position may require travel Available to work a flexible schedule nights and weekends Desired / Advantageous Qualifications Experience in Installation, inspection, terminating, testing, troubleshooting/maintenance of ISP/OSP telecommunications systems (Fiber Optics, Category 5, 6, 6A, and associated equipment) such as: Various size conduit pathways and cable tray Various types of Low Voltage Cable Various Cabinet and Racks Various Telecommunications Devices Prefabricated Components and Assemblies. Telecommunications Grounding Systems BICSI Certifications (Level 1 and/or 2) or Equivalent is a plus. Installation of video and data cable with Cat 5E, Cat 6 as well as fiber cable. Terminating and testing of horizontal copper (Cat 5, Cat 6). Termination of fiber. Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Aiphone Intercom Systems AIphone, CCURE, Genetec, Zenitel, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
