Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Front Desk in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more . As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors, employees, and clients. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional presence at the front desk. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with a heightened sense of responsibility and professionalism. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your attentiveness and strong communication skills, while also responding promptly to any situations that may arise. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk. Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, visitor logs, and incident reports as required. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed. Support emergency response activities and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when appropriate. Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through attentive presence and observation at the front desk. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or License as required by state and/or local regulations. Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
