Our client, a leading biotechnology/chemicals/pharmaceutical company has an outstanding eCommerce Merchandising & Digital Content Specialist contract opportunity to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally savvy eCommerce Merchandising & Digital Content Specialist to support our Laboratory Solutions business. This temporary role will focus on improving product discoverability, conversion, and content experience across the digital platforms. Ideal candidates have experience in eCommerce merchandising, digital content optimization, and an understanding of how scientific buyers shop and search for lab supplies online.
Contract Duration: 6-Months
Required Skills & Experience - 2 - 4 years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or digital content management
- BA/BS degree in Marketing or Life Sciences with marketing experience
Proficient in product content optimization, taxonomy development, and digital asset management - Familiar with PIM, CMS, and basic SEO best practices; experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large product catalogs
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working across multiple teams
- Category and workflow pages drive increased engagement and guide customers effectively to purchase
- Improved product discoverability and digital experience across key lab categories
- Enhanced PDPs and merchandising contribute to measurable gains in eCommerce revenue
- Stronger digital merchandising alignment with marketing and commercial priorities
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience in B2B eCommerce; familiarity with scientific, life science, or industrial product categories a plus
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Enhance Product Detail Pages (PDPs): Improve content quality (titles, descriptions, imagery, attributes) for priority SKUs to support SEO, engagement, and conversion.
- Optimize Category & Workflow Pages: Develop and refine landing pages for product categories and scientific workflows to improve navigation, educate customers, and drive product affinity.
- Improve Site Taxonomy & Navigation: Refine category structures, filters, and product attributes to align with customer search behavior and purchasing workflows.
- Execute Digital Merchandising Strategies: Support seasonal and category campaigns by managing site banners, product spotlights, and featured product carousels in alignment with business priorities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Portfolio Management, Strategic
- Marketing, eCommerce, and Downstream Marketing teams to ensure cohesive and relevant content across digital touchpoints.
- Analyze & Report Performance: Monitor page-level performance metrics (CTR, bounce rate, conversion) and identify areas for ongoing optimization.
- Support Content Upload & Governance: Maintain accuracy and consistency of product and category content using PIM and CMS tools.
