Are you a strategic finance professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for driving improvement? Hays are recruiting a Finance Business Partner - Commercial Lead, supporting high-impact commercial and governance initiatives across the organisation.

About the RoleThis is a dynamic and influential role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working across complex financial and commercial landscapes. You will:

Support the Commercial Board with financial insight and strategic input.
Lead the review of subsidiaries and traded services, ensuring robust governance and value for money.
Oversee the next phase of work on trusts and charities.
Manage requests and review processes related to the Regional Growth Fund.
Contribute to the commercial review of major development projects.

? What We're Looking ForWe're seeking a candidate with more than just technical finance skills. You'll need:

A broad financial background, ideally beyond traditional service finance roles.
A strong understanding of governance, compliance, and financial controls.
Proven ability to drive process improvements and deliver results at pace.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience of working in a Local Authority or public sector organisation
