Job Title: K–2 Literacy Assessment Scoring Rater (Remote)

Location: Remote (U.S. based only; DC and NYC residents not eligible)

Industry: Education / Assessment Services

Pay: $14 - $15/ hour (no flexibility)

Performance incentives: Up to $150 / week based on scoring accuracy and productivity

Addison Group is partnering with an innovative leader in educational assessments to support a large-scale scoring initiative. This fully remote, project-based opportunity allows qualified professionals to contribute to meaningful literacy assessment efforts for early learners nationwide.

Job Description:

We are seeking up to 50 remote Scoring Raters to evaluate and score recorded verbal responses from K–2 students using standardized rubrics. This is a great opportunity for individuals with ties to education, nonprofit, or data entry who are interested in part-time or full-time temporary work.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and score student audio responses following specific scoring criteria
Participate in virtual training and demonstrate qualification via assessment
Ensure scoring consistency and accuracy across all response types
Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity
Utilize provided software tools and communicate with team leads as needed
Meet performance benchmarks for speed and accuracy

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
Previous experience in early education, literacy programs, testing, or nonprofit/association work is highly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a structured remote environment
Tech proficiency with platforms like Microsoft Teams and Outlook
Must have access to a mobile device for secure login authentication
Comfortable working a minimum of 25 hours/week; up to 40 hours/week available

Additional Details:

Project Duration: July 30 – September 15
Training: Paid virtual training required before scoring can begin
Schedule: Semi-flexible; some evening shifts available. Initial 1–2 weeks may follow a set training schedule
Overtime: Eligible with prior supervisor approval
Equipment: Computer and tools provided
Background Check: 7-year federal/state background check required before equipment is sent
