Job Description:

This is a 5 days on-site Receptionist / Office Assistant position located in the West Loop. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for visitors and staff, while supporting general office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the go-to person at the front desk and is open to growing into broader administrative responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests and staff in a warm, professional manner while maintaining front desk security protocols
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
Sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail and packages
Maintain and update internal directories, room schedules, and visitor logs
Assist with preparing documents, reports, and general clerical tasks
Keep the front office neat, organized, and professional in appearance
Take initiative on small projects or support tasks as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; some college or business coursework preferred
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role
Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to remain reliable, punctual, and fully onsite Monday through Friday
Personable, flexible, and comfortable working in a collaborative office environment
Bonus: experience with Concur or similar software

Additional Details:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:45pm
100% On-Site (West Loop area)
Contract-to-hire potential after an initial 2–3 month period
