6 month contract£450-550 day rate, inside IR35You’ll work within the Records Management Programme to:

Lead the rollout of records management functionality in SharePoint
Assess tools (existing and new) to find where out-of-retention digital records are stored
Explore methods for deleting out-of-retention digital records

You’ll work closely with Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Records Management teams to design, configure, and launch a compliant, efficient solution.Key Responsibilities:

Act as SME for best practice implementation of records management in SharePoint
Lead discovery and deletion work for out-of-retention digital records
Review business requirements for SharePoint functionality and scanning tools
Serve as key link between Records Management and Technology teams

Skills & Experience:

Deep knowledge of metadata, content types, retention labels, and taxonomy
Experience designing document workflows and lifecycles
Hands-on work with SharePoint and Microsoft Purview (ex-Microsoft 365 Compliance Centre)
Familiarity with AI-driven scanning tools
Proven delivery of records management capabilities in technical systems
Understanding of retention schedules and translation into system requirements
Knowledge of RM standards and governance frameworks (e.g. ISO 15489)
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
Background in Information Governance or Records & Information Management
Excellent IT and communication skills
Strong analysis and problem-solving ability
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Trusted to handle sensitive data with discretion

A professional records management qualification is a plus.
