A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an NDT Quality Test Specialist. Position Type: Full-Time Contract
Duration: 12 months Location: Lemoore, CA As an NDT Quality Test Specialist, you will:
• Provide assurance of the Field Operations QMS and its related processes through active engagement with other functions supporting aircraft maintenance activities.
• Perform setup for specialized non-destructive Eddy current testing (ECT), and Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS) inspections utilizing test or measurement equipment to controlled standards.
• Performance of audits referenced by 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) aviation maintenance programs.
• Supporting colleagues within other functions with development of processes / procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to client Pols/Pros.
• Perform Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
• Supporting Safety / Quality investigations (as directed by Lead / Manager).
• Non-Conformance Management and inputting data into client software tools.
• Active participation within Continuous Improvement / Lean initiatives.
• Assist with metrics development supporting the wider Field Operations QMS.
• Attend required meetings and present associated metrics for review.
• Assists in the documentation of procedures for setting up test equipment.
• Analyzes routine test, inspection or statistical data to determine product and processes conformity Assists with standard corrective action recommendations.
• Documents and communicates standard test, analysis or measurement results.
• Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results. Required Skills:
• Certified NAS 410 Mobile Automated Scanner System (MAUS).
• Certified NAS 410 Eddy current testing (ECT).
• 5+ years of experience with NDT Quality Testing.
• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An understanding and previous experience of AS9100 Quality Assurance Management system.
• Capable of traveling on an as needed basis (up to 25% of the time).
• Ability to work variable shifts (i.e., scheduled, and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload. Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance Preferred qualifications (desired skills/experience):
• An AA degree in related NDT discipline and typically 5 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance.
• 5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft, Aircraft Logs, and Records Books IAW 4790.2.
• 5+ years' experience with COMNAVAIRINST 4790.2 Series quality assurance programs such as FOD and Tool Control.
• 5+ years of experience working with composites and non-porous metals, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless.
• 5+ years of experience working with schematics, specifications, engineering drawings and standard operating procedures.
• 5+ years of experience using structures hand tools such as: drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
• 5+ years of experience working heavy structures: locating, drilling, countersinking and fastening structures (i.e. doublers, stringers, webs, seat tracks, etc.) to aircraft. Pay Range : Between $50 to $55 per hour
