Job Description:
The Healthcare Receptionist will manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, call handling, and administrative duties. This individual will also scan medical records daily and work closely with providers and patients. A professional, reliable, and personable demeanor is essential as this role is patient-facing and key to creating a positive first impression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in/out patients for same-day surgical procedures
- Schedule and confirm appointments as needed
- Transfer incoming calls to the appropriate departments or staff
- Scan and upload medical records accurately into the system
- Interact professionally with providers and patients
- Provide general administrative support to the office staff
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of front desk experience in a healthcare or patient-facing setting
- EPIC system experience highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation; must live within 30 minutes of Tinley Park, IL
Additional Details:
- Type of Assignment: Contract (12 weeks minimum – FMLA coverage)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Dress Code: Business casual (no jeans or sandals)
- Transportation: Must have a reliable vehicle – no exceptions
