Lead DataSphere Consultant
6 Month contract initially
Based: Hybrid/London (Max - 3 days p/w onsite)
Rate: £600 - £650 p/d (via Umbrella company)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SAP Professional to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of solutions using SAP Datasphere. This role will be responsible for managing and implementing cloud data integration, analytics strategy, and ensuring business insights are delivered effectively across the organization. The candidate should also have a fair knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Professional Services processes.

This position reports to a TCS Engagement Manager and involves collaboration with all client stakeholders, especially Product Owners, Data CoE, and other Architects. It offers broad exposure to business stakeholders and requires strong business process knowledge in Professional Services.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect, manage, and maintain the enterprise data landscape within SAP Datasphere, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance data environments.
Design and implement complex data models supporting operational and analytical use cases, leveraging features like spaces, views, and semantic modelling.
Lead data integration initiatives, orchestrating data ingestion from SAP (e.g., S/4HANA, BWS/4HANA) and non-SAP sources (e.g., cloud platforms, APIs).
Establish data governance policies including metadata management, data lineage, and access control to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Optimize data pipelines and transformation logic to support real-time and batch processing.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop robust, reusable data products and services.
Monitor system performance, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure high availability of the data platform.
Stay updated with SAP Datasphere innovations for continuous improvement.
Possess broad functional and process knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Professional Services.
Seek automated solutions and innovative approaches in partnership with Product Owners and Functional Experts.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions as a Solution Architect.
Participate in designing solutions, services, and products with stakeholders and enterprise architecture teams.
Supervise and guide development teams, ensuring product and service design integrity.
Support operations in resolving complex issues.
Gather and validate process and technical knowledge for products/services, including documentation.
Assist product managers with lifecycle management considering business priorities, budgets, and risks.
Promote an Agile/DevSecOps mindset across the portfolio, including transformational initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience:

10+ years in SAP/Data Management ecosystem, with at least 3 years in SAP Datasphere.
Strong understanding of cloud data architecture and analytics best practices.
Proficiency in SAP Data Services, SAP HANA, SAP BW, Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
Experience with SAP cloud platform and DSP frameworks.
Skills in ETL, data modelling, and data validation.
Programming knowledge: Python, SQL, or Java.
Hands-on attitude and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to adapt in a flexible, changing environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
