Composite Stress Engineer
Location France - Onsite
Contract - 6 months (possible extension)
A leading aerospace engineering firm is seeking a highly skilled Composite Stress Engineer with deep expertise in the structural analysis of cabin interior components. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge aircraft programs, focusing on advanced composite and metallic structures within the cabin environment (e.g., seats, monuments, panels).
You will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and certification readiness of interior components through static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
What You'll Do:
- Perform static and fatigue analysis on composite cabin structures (e.g., seat frames, actuators, attachments)
- Develop and validate detailed FEM models using tools like NASTRAN, PATRAN, HyperMesh
- Ensure compliance with CS/FAR 25 structural requirements
- Support weight, strength, and manufacturability optimizations for both composite and metallic designs
- Review and approve drawings, reports, and test data
- Collaborate with design, test, and certification teams across the development cycle
What You Bring:
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in stress analysis for composite structures, ideally within aircraft interiors
- Deep understanding of composite materials, behaviors, and failure modes
- Strong knowledge of aircraft certification standards (especially Part 25)
- Proficiency in FEA tools: NASTRAN, PATRAN, HyperMesh (or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive mindset and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
