Composite Design Lead
Location: St Crepin-Ibouvillers
12-month contract

We're partnering with a world-class engineering and design organization supporting innovative programs in the aerospace interiors sector. We're looking for an experienced Composite Design Lead or Engineer to support and lead key projects focused on next-generation aircraft seating solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of composite seating components and structures for aircraft interiors.
- Drive end-to-end product development, from conceptual design to certification support.
- Develop complex composite design concepts, BOMs, and integration strategies to meet airframe and customer requirements.
- Check and validate design deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
- Conduct and lead design reviews, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and compliance with aerospace standards.
- Apply principles of design for manufacturing, change management, GD&T, DFMEA, and lean design methodology.
- Work closely with manufacturing, testing, and tooling teams to support prototype development and production readiness.
- Support LOPA layouts, ergonomics evaluation, and ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer standards.
- Generate and maintain design guidelines and best practices for team use.
- Present designs to internal stakeholders, certification authorities, and customers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small team of mechanical engineers.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in aerospace seating design and composite material engineering.
- Proven ability to work on aircraft interior programs, ideally with experience in business or economy class seating systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and SmarTeam (preferred).
- Deep knowledge of composite materials, processes, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
- Familiarity with aerospace design standards and airworthiness compliance.
- Experience working in global teams with international aerospace clients.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to speak fluently in both French and English.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of LOPA layouts, ergonomic design, and seating regulations is a plus.
