Service Care Solutions are working alongside Lincolnshire County Council who are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Finance Technician to join their team on a temporary contract. Please find a description of the role below.Role: Finance Technician Rate: £13 to £16 per hour (PAYE exc.) / £16 to £17.72 per hour (umbrella/ltd)Location: LincolnContract: 3 months' on going.Working: 37 hours per week. (Hybrid following 2 week training period)Role Overview:

Main responsibilities cover credit control, income collection and adult care charges
Assist in planning, monitoring, and reporting of revenue and capital budgets
Advise on budget setting, pressures, monitoring, and outturn forecasts.
Support financial reporting and identify areas of financial risk.
Help develop systems to improve forecasting accuracy and financial control.
Identify and monitor delivery of efficiency savings.
Evaluate value for money using local and national data.
Work with services to align resources with performance goals.
Support planning and monitoring of grant usage.
Assist in closure of accounts and ensure accurate year-end adjustments.
Maintain accounts via virements, recharges, and journal entries.
Contribute to capital project planning, service reviews, and major developments.Maintain general knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.
