JOB TITLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER LOCATION: AURORA, CO RATE RANGE: 78.00-84.00 PER HOUR JOB# REQUIRED: • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of relevant software engineering experience • Experience with JavaScript and Angular • Experience developing user interface software • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance JOB DESCRIPTION: In this role, you will be joining a talented team of software engineers who are designing and developing a reusable software foundation to build satellite ground system software. What You Will Do • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain user interface software • Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment What You Will Learn • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques • Software lifecycle practices for defense projects Qualifications We Prefer • Experience developing software using Java • Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes • Software development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot • Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
