Overview

This position is responsible for the direction and oversight of Companys IT Operations & Engineering (O&E) Applications. This position is responsible for supervisory leadership, strategy implementation, and oversight in this area. A significant level of independent thought and action, based on extensive experience and sound judgment, is used to fulfill the positions requirements.

The Leader, IT O&E Applications will analyze, propose, oversee the development and implementation of, update and maintain, educate, and report on the effectiveness of strategies, processes, goals, and policies necessary to provide the support of the IT O&E applications. They also will maintain awareness of current technology and equipment advances through research, training, and participation in industry associations. The Leader oversees training programs to enhance skills and technical competence of personnel as well as represents IT O&E applications interests to other leaders, managers, and upper management as well as other duties as required and assigned.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Leadership Specific:

Account for the performance and achievement of employees in reporting area and teach employees in area to be likewise personally accountable
Demonstrate organizations leadership skills and traits as outlined below
Serve as a role model for Companys Guiding Principles and actively exhibiting behaviors which champion its Vision and Mission
Ensure alignment of department goals and activities with corporate Vision, Mission, goals, and strategies
Engage in consistent performance management (e.g., coaching, teaching, appraising, and mentoring)
Execute staff growth plans

Position Specific:

Ensure knowledge transfer to team members and effectively manage remotely based teams
Focus on cost control to create value
Oversee correction of O&E application related issues and concerns
Coordinate O&E application development, building in redundancy and room for growth, and
emergency planning/business continuity efforts
Develop relationships with O&E customers to ensure goals are being met
Provide consultative support to other departments
Perform employee performance appraisals and coach employees to gain efficiencies, to
prepare for added responsibilities and ensure succession planning is in place
Determine directions related to new innovations and modernization of O&E applications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Valid drivers license and insurability
6+ years experience in IT Applications or related area
Ability to lead technical staff
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading large application, infrastructure, or security projects
Ability to budget and forecast expense and capital
Experience with software development methodologies
Ability to research, understand, and make recommendations to improve applications
Ability to work and collaborate with others throughout the organization
Basic understanding of the regulatory environment in which the Company operates

Preferred:

Masters degree, or other advanced degree
Major in information technology, business or related field
2+ years of experience at the senior level

Compensation details: 35 Yearly Salary
