Job Description:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to serve as the on-site HR presence at a fast-paced industrial plant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with employees at all levels, from production teams to leadership, and who values variety in their day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR contact onsite, engaging directly with production staff and leadership
- Manage and support employee relations, including performance conversations and conflict resolution
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding hourly production employees
- Oversee timecard accuracy and track attendance-related matters (LOA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Support training, compliance documentation, and general administrative tasks
- Communicate HR updates and policies clearly across departments
- Partner with offsite HR leaders to ensure alignment and consistency
- Walk the production floor daily to maintain open communication and visibility
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of generalist-level HR experience; manufacturing or industrial setting required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Comfortable working independently in a manufacturing setting
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with HRIS tools such as SAP, Kronos, or SuccessFactors preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
