Payments Lead (Oracle Fusion) - Hybrid - East Midlands - Outside IR35

VIQU have partnered with a leading organisation who are delivering a large-scale Finance transformation programme, implementing Oracle Fusion ERP. They are looking for a Payments Lead to support the implementation on a contract basis.

As Payments Lead, you will take ownership of designing and implementing payment outflow processes within Oracle Fusion, ensuring they are fully compliant with ISO 20022 standards, industry best practices, and internal control requirements.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle Fusion payment workflows.
Ensure compliance with ISO 20022 standards and regulatory/internal control requirements.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Finance payment processes, guiding both functional and technical teams.
Develop design documents, configuration workbooks, and process flows.
Review and support integration design, liaising with Data Migration and Reporting teams.
Contribute to test planning and execution, especially for payments and integrations.
Support cutover planning and provide post-implementation warranty support.
Collaborate with Change Management and Training teams to ensure smooth business adoption.

Key experience:

Strong background in Finance, with expertise in Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Payments.
Proven Oracle Fusion ERP (Financials) experience - payments configuration is essential.
Experience in ERP implementations with a focus on payment processes and compliance.
Good knowledge of banking/payment standards (ISO 20022 understanding desirable).
Ability to translate Finance requirements into robust Oracle solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to liaise credibly with Finance and Technology teams.

Role Details:

Job Role: Payments Lead (Oracle Fusion)
Contract: 6 months initially (with high potential for extension)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite (East Midlands)
Outside IR35 pending SDS report
