As a Model-Based Systems Engineer for HVDC Control & Protection Engineer you will work within a team of HVDC project management and engineering specialists to design and deliver full HVDC control and protection solutions making use of a HVDC test center located in Raleigh!

How You'll Make an Impact

Design of open and closed loop control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC)
Implementation of control or protection software in MATLAB/SIMULINK as well as verification using software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments
Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
Preparation of design specifications, documentation, training and effort estimations
Remote support during commissioning and after-sales service of HVDC systems

What You Bring

1 or more years of exp, University degree in electrical engineering with focus on power systems or control technology as well as first professional experience
Good knowledge in converter- and high voltage technology as well as in open/closed loop controls or protection
Good MATLAB/SIMULINK knowledge including model-based implementation and verification
Experience in the configuration of automation systems
