70- 85 per hour Outside IR35
iO Associates are partnered with a fast-growing Defence & Security Technology consultancy at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions to safeguard the UK from evolving cyber and technological threats.
We're seeking a DV Cleared FPGA Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, and delivery of complex FPGA-based systems. This is an initial 12-month contract, with long-term extensions highly likely given the volume of upcoming projects.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and implementing FPGA solutions for high-assurance systems
- Working with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, secure hardware platforms
- Using industry-leading toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or similar)
- Verifying, testing, and debugging designs to meet stringent performance and security requirements
- Contributing to innovative R&D projects that directly impact UK national security
Skills & experience required
- Strong FPGA design experience (VHDL / Verilog)
- Experience with Vivado, Quartus, or equivalent FPGA toolchains
- Solid understanding of digital design principles, simulation, and verification
- Background in defence, aerospace, or other safety/mission-critical industries is desirable
- Current DV Clearance (essential)
