Interim Freelance Senior ML Ops engineer

For a client active within aviation, we are currently looking for a senior Cloud engineer / ML engineer that is experienced with Recommender sytems. The role sits within a commercial data management platform, where you will be part of a data science team.

The role is focused around customer interaction. The team currently has multiple models in production (on-prem) that will migrate to the cloud (GCP).

We are looking for a Cloud / ML engineer that has a strong understanding of Data Science and ML Ops and has previously worked with GCP. Additionally, you are a strong communicator and able to engage in discussions abot the ML Ops process with different stakeholders.

Kubernetes clusters
GitHub CI/CD and GitHub Actions, Jenkins is also acceptable
MLflow
Airflow
Python
Commercial: Spark
ML models in Spark
Docker (containerized)
Python programming

GCP Stack:

GCP
VertexAI
Model management in VertexAI
Deployment of services in Cloud Run
BigQuery
Terraform for infrastructure
Cloud Scheduler
Pub/Sub
Notebooks during model development
If no GCP experience, other cloud experience is also acceptable

Practicalities:

Hybrid working in the Greater Amsterdam Area (2 days onsite)
36-40 hours per week
Ideally open to Employed contractor model / payroll candidates. Only eligeble for candidates in the Netherlands
Start: ASAP

The role is open to Employed Contractor model (Detacheren) and can be long-term. Potentially the role is open to freelancers, with a strong preference for payroll candidates.
