Job Title: Human Resources Assistant Salary: TTD-6500,00 Negotiable Employment Type: Renewable contract (full-time) Location: San Fernando Job Purpose The Human Resource Assistant supports the Manager, Human Resources and the Human Resource Officer in implementing HR management plans and programs. This role contributes to building workforce capability to meet organizational and client needs. Key Accountabilities Integrate core values and accountability across all organizational and business practices. Support implementation of the Human Resource Strategy. Foster and maintain effective working relationships within the organization. Provide interpretation and guidance on HR policies and procedures to internal stakeholders. Role-Specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Maintain the quality and quantity of the talent pool, including contract status monitoring. Ensure timely selection and placement of resources to meet client requirements. Administer the Performance Management and Evaluation System within set timelines. Manage employee participation in training and development programs. Decision Rights Responsible for onboarding and training delivery. Role-Specific Work Processes and Standards Assist in compiling the Strategic Human Resource Management Plan and HR Budget. Conduct recruitment and selection activities to maintain a qualified and effective workforce. Execute employee onboarding programs efficiently and promptly. Coordinate training programs to address skill gaps and support development. Guide department managers on policy interpretation and implementation. Prepare HR reports as requested by the Manager, Human Resources. Administer compensation, leave, and benefits programs fairly and timely. Conduct periodic audits to ensure policy compliance. Execute routine HR functions including benefits administration, performance management, talent development, and employee relations. Respond to inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; escalate sensitive issues as necessary. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records (e.g., recruitment pool, training, competencies, and health surveillance). Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and supervise other HR Assistants. Participate in disciplinary meetings and investigations. Ensure compliance with national employment laws and industry best practices. Stay current on HR trends, legal developments, and emerging technologies. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Associate Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Law, Social Sciences, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR) is an asset. Minimum of two (2) years of HR management experience. Knowledge and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to use or quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems. High level of confidentiality. Excellent customer service orientation. Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
