Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Senior Data Architect to join our dynamic and innovation-driven team. In this strategic role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex data systems and architectures that drive decision-making across the organization. Your contributions will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, scalability, and performance of our data infrastructure.

This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.

Core Responsibilities

Design and implement robust data architecture solutions across cloud-based and on-premise environments

Develop data models, ETL processes, and integration frameworks to support business intelligence and analytics

Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through architectural best practices

Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to align data strategies with organizational goals

Lead data governance initiatives and enforce data quality standards

Monitor performance of data systems and recommend enhancements as needed

Document architectural standards, data flows, and technical specifications

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior data professionals

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, database design, or data engineering roles

Proven expertise with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery)

Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data modeling best practices

Experience with ETL tools, data pipelines, and big data frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow)

Familiarity with data governance, security compliance, and privacy regulations

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, asynchronous environment

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Masters preferred)
