On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Business Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 5 Month contract based REMOTELY with some potential ad hoc travel to London.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

As a Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:

Leading the creation of the ‘problem statements’ to enable Early Market Engagement for the new project.
Leading the requirements engineering, stakeholder modelling and investigations required to support the introduction of the new business solution into HMCTS services.
Supporting the management of design issues raised by HMCTS partners and business stakeholders, providing options, and recommending solutions.
Leading discussions with other projects to identify where there are dependencies with the solutions and documenting these dependencies within the business process design.
Development and documentation of the end-to-end business process, providing the as-is and to-be end state down to L3.
Supporting in the analysis of the solutions provided by suppliers during Early Market Engagement, ensuring the business solution meets the need of the organisation

Essential:

Previous experience of working across senior technical and business stakeholders ensuring the understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria is aligned.
Expertise in leading workshops, meetings and discussions to gather requirements and provide feedback to a wide range of audiences.
Experience in defining problem statements and ensuring requirements are suitable for market engagement.
Ability to think strategically and understand the broader business context.
Ability to create clear and concise documentation, reports and presentations.
Proven experience of managing product lifecycles ensuring full alignment with wider Departmental strategy.
