A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Accounting Specialist (Controller). Position Type: Full time Contract
Duration: 06 Months
Location: Londonderry, NH As an Accounting Specialist (Controller), you will be:
• Responsible for maintaining accounts and records in various general and/or cost accounting functions.
• Develops, implements and/or maintains one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, etc.
• Compiles data, allocates costs, prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, and analyzes financial information.
• Prepares income and balance sheet, profit and loss, consolidated and other accounting statements.
• Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
• Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
• May design, modify, install and/or maintain general accounting systems.
• Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management.
• Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.
• Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
• Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products.
• Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.

4. Quarter End reporting
a. Balance Sheet and P&L flux review
b. EAC Change in Estimate review
c. Rep Letter process
d. Review Manual Journal Entries
5. Account reconciliations
6. Understanding of AR and AR aging/cash collection
7. Oversite inventory year end physical counts
8. Understanding of AP and AP aging/impact to supplier and potential holds Etc.
9. Misc support to various government issues/concerns
10. SOX support/SOX oversite/ work with ICFR team regarding the control of environment.
11. Review of Contract Review Worksheets/mod worksheets for revenue purposes
12. Prepare for year-end close
13. Understanding rates and rate impacts
14. Understanding of sales and use tax for corp submissions
15. Previous personnel management experience
16. Previous Controller experience The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree or master's degree. Preferred MBA and/or CPA.

Pay Range : $90-$100 per hour.
