Move Forward with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for a Software Engineer, which is onsite in Springfield, VA What You Will Do
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic systems and equipment (excluding electronic test equipment). Determine routing, location, and installation methods for wiring, conduits, fixtures, and accessories. Assess repair needs and recommend safe, effective solutions to restore service. Calculate wire gauge, power, and load requirements as needed. Collaborate with peers and customers in an open, team-oriented environment. Participate in a formal certification process for ground terminal operations upon hire. This is a 12 Month Contract or a Contract to hire
Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8+ years of prior engineering experience.
Practical experience applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, including system modeling with Cameo or equivalent tools. Familiarity with Digital Engineering practices and tool chains to enhance design, integration, and test workflows. Experience with high level programming languages (e.g. Python). Demonstrated engineering technical abilities and project management experience. Experience collaborating with internal and external customers in a team environment (Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor). Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with systems installation, integration, and test activities.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages (Python, C++, etc). Experience with Request for Change (RFC) impact reviews and assessment processes. Experience with customer NSIS requirements and rapid delivery methods. Evidence of strong customer relationships and stakeholder engagement. Experience working across contract and location boundaries. Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and collaborative engineering tools. Ability to convey complex technical issues clearly through both oral and written communication. Pay Rate:- $90 to $100/hr.
