Job Description As a Security Guard - Unarmed Media Patrol PT in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry. Report and document any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols. Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees to provide assistance and information as required. Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while performing assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
