About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cash Accountant to join our finance team on a 6-month temporary basis. Based onsite in Derby, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of cash transactions across all sales channels and regions. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong reconciliation experience and a passion for resolving discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily reconciliation of all cash inflows, including:
- Online sales and refunds across multiple payment platforms
- Retail card takings for UK, US, and EU stores
- Investigate and resolve transaction anomalies with internal teams
- Maintain accurate logs of issues and resolutions
Resolve historic unreconciled items
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for undeposited funds
Support process automation projects and contribute to implementation
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in bank reconciliation, including reconciliation to balance sheet level
Strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet impacts
High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
Determined and persistent in resolving issues
Experience working with multiple currencies
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Comfortable working on projects, documenting issues and proposing solutions

Working Arrangements

Location: Derby office
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Onsite Requirement: 5 days per week
