An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Cloud and Database Services Engineer to provide technical leadership across cloud and database platforms, ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.

You will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud and database solutions, drive automation, security, and compliance, and mentor engineers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimise cloud and database solutions to meet strategic objectives.
Drive automation, security, and compliance across cloud and database platforms.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and supporting key strategic projects.
Champion innovation, best practices, and continuous improvement across the engineering function.

Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Azure Tenant, SQL, KQL, Ansible, and Power BI.
Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker/Podman), CEPH, and PKI.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and Linux.
Deep understanding of database security and automation.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide technical teams.
