AI Engineer - Contract Role

I am working with a university that is looking for an AI Engineer with experience in AI Foundry to support the implementation of a number of new use cases.

This is a remote contract for approximately three months.

The role is outside IR35, with a start date planned for early to mid March.

Overview

The university is delivering a series of AI initiatives and requires an AI Engineer with hands on experience in AI Foundry to support the design, build, and deployment of AI use cases across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into AI use cases.
• Build, deploy, and optimise AI models within AI Foundry.
• Develop pipelines, workflows, and integrations needed to operationalise AI solutions.
• Work closely with data teams, product teams, and technical leads to ensure successful delivery.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure models perform effectively in a production environment.
• Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and support the internal team throughout delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role.
• Hands on experience working with AI Foundry.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, model development, and deployment workflows.
• Experience with data pipelines, ML Ops, or cloud based AI tooling.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced project environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non technical teams.
