Design and improve diagnostic/repair procedures for refrigeration and electrical systems (inverter compressors, control boards, sensors). Build/adapt test jigs and measurement methods; maintain accurate technical files. Integrate sensors/telemetry for smart diagnostics. Analyze service data (CRM/telemetry) to raise first-visit-fix rate and reduce time-to-repair; drive corrective actions. Ensure compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations; coordinate engineering changes with vendors; perform field validation at customer sites within Orange County. Mentor field technicians on diagnostic procedures. Minimum requirements: Master's in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics/Systems Engineering or related field, OR Bachelor's in Engineering (or related) + 5 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in applied engineering (diagnostics/validation/process improvement for electromechanical systems). Hands-on experience with refrigeration cycle diagnostics and appliance electronics. EPA Section 608 Type I or Universal certification by start date. Local travel within Orange County. Preferred: Knowledge of OSHA 1910.147 (LOTO) procedures. Reliability/quality methods; mechatronics/embedded systems (sensors, inverter drives, control boards); vendor coordination experience.
