Assistant Lab Manager III (Audio Research Lab) Redmond, WA 12-Month Contract

We are looking for a highly organized Assistant Lab Manager to support cutting-edge audio research in Redmond, WA. This is a hands-on role managing lab operations, inventory, and equipment-perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage lab inventory, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate repairs/calibrations with vendors and troubleshoot hardware.
  • Support research teams with lab logistics and documentation.

Ideal Candidate Has:

  • Experience in lab management, inventory control, or hardware maintenance.
  • Deep knowledge of audio equipment (speakers, mics, analyzers, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with inventory software or audio lab standards.

Background & Experience:

    • Prior experience in lab management, inventory control, or hardware maintenance (essential).
    • Extensive knowledge of audio equipment (e.g., loudspeakers, microphones, analyzers, interfaces).
    • Familiarity with lab safety protocols and hazardous material handling.

Core Skills:

    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues.
    • Communication skills to coordinate with vendors, engineers, and researchers.

Technical Proficiency:

    • Comfortable using inventory management tools (experience with software is a plus).
