Job Title: Automation Tester
Rate: £400 (Inside IR35)

Location: Remote with 2 days onsite in London

Experience

• 7-10+ years overall IT experience
• 5+ years in test automation
• Strong software engineering and automation framework development experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks, libraries, and API/UI automation suites (Selenium POM, Karate)
• Validate Kafka/MQ messaging, XML/XSD, and ISO20022 messages
• Build and manage reusable test data for integration and E2E testing
• Enhance reporting, logging, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Java, JavaScript, Python, OOP, Design Patterns
• Selenium (POM), REST API automation, Karate
• Maven/Gradle, Oracle, SQL, Database Validation
• Test Automation Architecture & Framework Development

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Java: 5+ years
• API Automation: 5+ years
• Selenium & Karate: 4+ years each
• JavaScript, CI/CD, SQL, Git, XML/XSD Validation: 3+ years each
• Python, Kafka & MQ: 2+ years each

Domain Experience

• Preferred: Banking, Financial Services, Payments
• Desirable: RTGS, ISO20022, SWIFT, Financial Messaging

Good to Have

• Linux, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Xray
• Reporting & Observability tools

Soft Skills

• Strong debugging, analytical, communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Certifications (Preferred)
