Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Technical Program Manager to join their dynamic team. As a key contributor within the Hardware Development department, supporting cross-functional teams, you will play a vital role in delivering cutting-edge compute, controls, and network hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex technical challenges, aligning seamlessly with the organization's commitment to innovation and excellence.

Job Title: Automotive Hardware Technical Program Manager

Location:Foster City, CA (3 days onsite)

Pay Range: $100 per hour + benefits

What's the Job?

  • Plan and execute strategic hardware development programs, translating company goals into actionable project plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering teams, procurement, manufacturing, and partners to ensure timely delivery of hardware systems.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring transparency and swift resolution of issues across cross-functional teams.
  • Manage project resources, including headcount and budget, in partnership with engineering and finance teams.
  • Develop clear communication channels, including reports and updates, to keep stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and achievements.

What's Needed?

  • 8+ years of experience in hardware program management or hardware engineering management, leading cross-functional teams through full development cycles.
  • Deep understanding of hardware development processes, particularly in compute, controls, and network hardware platforms.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Gantt charts, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and prototype suppliers.
  • Strong ability to operate effectively in rapid development cycles, maintaining flexibility and composure under uncertainty.
