AWS DevOps Engineer - SC Cleared - Outside IR35

We are seeking an SC-cleared AWS DevOps Engineer to support a government digital environment, working across cloud-native infrastructure and containerised platforms. The role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimising scalable AWS environments, embedding infrastructure-as-code best practices, and collaborating closely with engineering and platform teams to deliver secure, resilient services within regulated environments. Immediate start required.

Essential Skills:

• Strong AWS infrastructure and platform engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Strong configuration management experience with Ansible
• Proficiency in Python Scripting and automation
• Good knowledge of AWS networking and security (IAM, VPCs, Subnets)
• Experience supporting live production environments
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Active SC Clearance (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
• Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments via EKS
• Automate deployment and configuration using Ansible and Python
• Ensure platform security and compliance across AWS services
• Support live services, including incident response and resolution
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve system reliability
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Location: London (ad-hoc)
Contract: Initial contract up to end of December 2026
Rate: Up to £550 per day (Outside IR35)
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Start Date: Immediate start required
