Business Partnering Accountant

Rate: £26.06 £27.71 PAYE
Hours: 37 per week (full time)
Working Pattern: Hybrid required in Oxford office twice per month

Contract: 6 months

We are recruiting an experienced Business Partnering Accountant to support complex service areas with high-quality financial analysis, monitoring and decision support.

This is a business-facing role requiring strong technical finance capability combined with the confidence to challenge and influence operational managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the Medium Term Financial Strategy

• Revenue budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis

• Provide financial insight to support decision-making

• Support development of business cases and financial modelling

• Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies and governance

• Maintain cost centre structures and financial controls

• Identify risks, pressures and opportunities across supported services

Essential Experience

• Experience in a public sector or complex organisational environment

• Strong revenue monitoring and forecasting background

• Confident communicator able to challenge and influence managers

• Good understanding of financial governance and risk management

• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience

Local government experience and/or part-qualified CCAB/CIMA status would be advantageous.
