Business Systems Analyst -

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Business Systems Analyst position! This is an 18+ month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead moderately complex to complex projects from proposal through post-implementation, serving as functional project lead to ensure test plans, specifications, and milestones are met on schedule
• Coordinate SIT and UAT test management activities, developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts while executing test cases to verify system changes and enhancements
• Facilitate project team meetings and collaborate with lines of business to identify application requirements, translating business needs into well-documented functional specifications
• Serve as subject matter expert consulting on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, regulatory requirements, acquisitions, or major system changes
• Partner with technology teams and vendors to ensure thorough understanding of project functionality, provide implementation guidance, and validate alignment with business requirements
• Monitor project scope and change requests to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, business needs, and Corporate Technology standards throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate post-implementation activities including gathering feedback, resolving issues, and completing project debriefs with actual-to-plan analysis
• Mentor less experienced staff by providing guidance on application training, research analysis, and project methodology best practices

What You'll Need to Have:

• 5+ years of combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience with a focus on systems analysis
• Proven experience coordinating SIT and UAT test management, preferably with commercial loan systems or similar financial applications
• Strong ability to write business requirements and develop detailed test scripts/cases based on functional specifications
• Demonstrated capability working on multiple moderately complex to complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
• Solid understanding of application frameworks, interfacing/integrated systems, and the ability to coordinate between applications and business units
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively to all levels of management and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
• Strong problem-solving and lateral thinking skills with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to issue resolution

Pay Range: $35-$39/hr
