Commercial Manager - Public Sector (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support a high-profile public sector programme on an initial 12-month contract (with potential extension up to 2 years).

This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week on-site (UK-wide locations available), alongside occasional travel to workshops (approx. once per month in Leeds or London).

Key Details:

• Contract Length: 12 months (extension likely)

• Location: UK Wide/Hybrid

• Rate: Up to £725 per day (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver end-to-end procurement activity in line with current legislation

• Apply knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023, including new procedures and platforms

• Provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making

• Manage and influence key stakeholders across programmes

• Ensure compliance with public sector procurement frameworks

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience delivering procurements under the Procurement Act 2023

• Strong background across multiple procurement procedures

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Strong commercial awareness and evidence-based decision making

• Knowledge of public sector procurement legislation

Desirable:

• Contract management experience in a commercial environment

• Experience influencing markets and driving improved commercial outcomes

• Familiarity with E-procurement systems (eg Jaggaer)
